72. Music, Your Daily Power Boost
Music is magical. It is one of the greatest wonders of life on earth. Music connects. For many people, music is the motor of their existence. It brings people together. It gets people into motion. Music can resolve conflicts. It can even heal people! It stimulates your intuition. Music is of vital importance to everyone because music goes directly to the heart. And it enables you to recharge your battery! It’s as if music nourishes you.
Do you still have music in your life?
Music isn’t found in many people’s lives. Many people are too busy, are in places where they cannot listen to music or don’t have access to music. Think about people who work behind the counter at the town hall or caregivers in a nursing home. Prison guards, nurses, and people working in psychiatric wards; there can be any number of circumstances where it is better to create a quiet and calm atmosphere. If you are in this type of place for a long time, the contact with music can diminish and disappear unnoticed.
Where did your music go?
People adapt to other people. It’s possible that your partner has different taste in music than you and that you no longer listen to your favorite opera’s arias because of comments like: “Can you turn down that screeching?” Or maybe, your adolescent children had something to say about it. Or maybe their listening to their music caused you to lose touch with yours.
Put your music back on!
Considering that listening to music can be an enormous factor in your own experience of happiness, it is imperative that you turn your music on. In the car. While doing the housekeeping. Maybe during your break at work as well. Even if it is only one song. A moment for yourself, listening to your favorite song, music or aria. Whatever! Just as long as it is your music, your source of power or energy!
How does the MIR-Method help you rediscover your music?
The MIR-Method works in many ways. It helps you to “reset” yourself and return you to your original being. It returns you to your own individuality and to what inspires you. Each person is unique and has his or her own energetic source and vibration needs. The MIR-Method works on this via steps 3, 4, 7 and 9.
Step 3: “Detach father. Detach mother” makes you less sensitive to other people’s comments. You detach yourself from the limiting comments and begin to feel how important music is to you again, how you long for it and need it!
Step 4: “Clear meridians” causes the spleen meridian to flow freely again. This is the ideal meridian for strengthening your self-confidence and enabling you to suddenly start humming, singing or whistling again! It works the other way around as well. If you sing, you strengthen your spleen meridian!
Step 7: “Fulfill basic needs” strengthens your inner feeling of security. For example, you listen to music at home in spite of always hearing, “Shush, be considerate of the neighbors!” in the past. It also makes you feel freer to listen to the music that nourishes you, because that differs from one person to the next. You feel more comfortable about being assertive about it!
Step 9: “Clarify mission” makes clearer what role music plays in your life. Maybe it is your big passion and you remember this through doing the MIR-Method! Or you “just happen” to come into contact with the music you used to love so much! Maybe you think about dusting off your music instrument and using it! Often we have become so detached from ourselves by all the circumstances of our lives that we totally forget how important music is for us. With step 9, the role of music for your mission will become more apparent again!
Always do all 9 steps!
I mentioned just a few of the MIR-Method steps in the text above, but it remains important that you always do all 9 steps and don’t just choose a few, because they all cooperate together!
The Great Motivator
Music can also be very motivating and encouraging. I love listening to music that has a message, that encourages me and challenges me to continue my mission. The following 10 songs always pep me up to continue and remain connected to my mission:
1. Queen – Don’t stop me now
2. La bi Siffre – So strong
3. From the film “Frozen” – Let it go
4. Kiki Dee – I got the music in me
5. John Lennon – Imagine
6. Camille Saint Saëns – The Swan
7. My favorite film music is from the Tinkerbel-animated films
8. Golden Earring – Radar Love
9. Santa Esmeralda – Don’t let me be misunderstood
10. Fleetwood Mac – Go your own way

Music is so important for good helth.
Vibration is everything. And every vibration has its own frequency.
This ancient scale is part of a 6-tone sequence of electro-magnetic frequencies called the Original Solfeggio Scale.

Hi Mireille,
Music is not good for me, believe it or not, if I listen to a song, it stays in my mind for weeks sometimes, can’t get rid of it. When I wake up many times during the night, the song is still playing in my mind. It can drive me crazy!! My nervous system has become so fragile from all the problems I’ve had in my life. I wish I could listen to music!
Oiça musica clássica ou música para relaxar e deve superar essa situação, com a ajuda do Método.
The classical piece by Ralph Vaughn Williams–Lark Ascending. Helps your spirit soar!
Thank you for this article. For me? Pretty much anything by the Grateful Dead. Their lyrics are deeply human yet transcendental, and the music can take one to places only imagined. In fact beyond imagination. I am always listening to music, have been my whole life. Everything from free jazz to classical, and rock to country, and there is no music that connects me to to feelings of unity and bliss, and just good ole happy fun, more than the Grateful Dead. It is not for nothing that they are revered and loved by such a huge cross section of people around the world. Fantastic dance music! Good place to start for many would be the Albums; “Workingman’s Dead” and “American Beauty” for a sample of their beautiful lyrics and melodies. Go from there. There is more recorded live music of this band than any other in the world.
-cheers
I agree , we Love them and also Play them, my Partner, as a musician, introduced me to that brillant group
And we play ans sing some songs of them together : they love eachother, throwing stones …..
What a wonderful reminder! And so true. I have always loved to sing, but my husband is a classical musician and can’t stand it that I sometimes go out of tune! So I have been silenced. But I can listen! And will start again. And I can sing my heart out in the car! Or shower!
One of my favorites is my husband on the viola on “Kathleen’s Song” by Ray Lynch on his platinum album Deep Breakfast. Beautiful.
Just a few favorites (out of hundred that make me happy):
Happy – Pharell
Oh Happy Day – Edwin Hawkins Singers
Believe – Josh Groban
Clair de Lune – Debussy
Moon River from Breakfast at Tiffany’s
it’s a very special piece of music from Latvia that Anastasia Geng used to choreograph the dance for the Bach Flower remedy ELM. It helps to centre when you are overwhelmed and it’s known in many circles because of Joanna Macy who works with deep ecology … she uses it for healing the Earth and our connection ….
Kā man klājas ? – YouTube

the singer is Ieva Akuratere and there is a youtube video of the song and if you look under elm dance, you can find a representation of the dance…the main movement is a spiral one oneself… to centre! It nourishes your heart!

I have a book of 100 ballads and am often belting out songs at various times of the day and/or night. One of my favorites is FLY ME TO THE MOON.
Dear Susan,
Oh, that sounds wonderful! Yes, I love that song too. It is sort of comforting, isn’t it?
Hope you keep on singing forever and ever!
