47. Get Rid of Your Menstruation Problems!
Swollen abdomen, painful breasts, fits of crying, stomach cramps? Oh no, menstruation! They are some of the unpleasant complaints you can have that you would love to get rid of. Every month, many women suffer from PMS (the period before menstruation) or from other severe symptoms during menstruation. Many women even have to stay home from their work or take medication. Although the amount of blood lost during menstruation is negligible, there are many women who need to use a large number of sanitary napkins. It can be quite annoying and returns every month.
Startling results
When I put the MIR-Method online in 2009, I didn’t dare hope that so many people would pick it up and try it out. The reactions that followed from the “MIRers” were remarkable! Women reported that their menstruation has lessened, is less painful. All of the complaints associated with it are reduced: bad mood, fits of crying and binge eating lessen or are completely gone. I don’t have all of these testimonials on the website because it is sometimes still a taboo subject for some and women then tell me about it after a lecture. But the results are there!
Susan writes: “Dear Mireille, since I’ve been doing the MIR-Method, I barely have cramps any more during my ovulation! I was always bent over double from the pain, for years. My abdomen was very swollen and completely cramped together. This continued on and off for two days. I also no longer have loss of mucus…” |
What happens during menstruation?
Yes, problems with menstruation lessen as a result of step 6, ‘Balance hormone system’. It is a complex process which medical scientists know a lot about, but there is also a lot unknown. Via hormones, which are made in the pituitary gland in your brain, follicles grow and ripen in your ovaries to prepare for ovulation. If fertilization does not take place during ovulation, the lining of the uterus is disposed of, a part of which is blood loss.
When does menstruation become problematic?
What I discovered during my work with clients in my practice is that problems with menstruation become severe when deep emotions are “underneath”. The emotions come from your youth or via your mother’s side of the family. This has to do with the females on mother’s side. A sort of hereditary emotional burden. Think about how women always have had to neglect themselves, submit and weren’t allowed to do what they would have liked to, like studying.
That is why step 3: “Detach father. Detach mother” is just as important to avoid problems with menstruation. Then you no longer have to carry the burdens of your mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, etc.
Claudia writes: “With much pleasure I did the MIR-Method for 28 days. Besides feeling more at peace within, I’m more balanced, have not had cramps and swollen, painful breasts during menstruation for the first time in 30 years. What a gain!” |
Sudden return of menstruation or sudden intermittent bleeding?
There is another phenomenon with the MIR-Method. When you do the MIR-Method, it’s possible that your menstruation returns. Even if you have already gone through menopause and haven’t menstruated for a while. Yet, this menstruation serves a purpose: refreshing your blood. It may sound crazy, but women have an advantage in that they can cleanse their blood. When your body loses blood, new blood is made. Men only have nose bleeds for that. Read about this in the first article that I wrote: “Recently had a nose bleed?”.
Always do all 9 steps
To reduce menstruation problems, step 3: “Detach father. Detach mother”, and step 6: “Balance hormone system” are of great importance. And… all of the other steps cooperate with these, so always do all 9 steps in the order as explained in the instruction video!
What can your partner do?
Women who are moody or catty during menstruation, are actually sad. They don’t know where the sadness comes from exactly, but it helps them immensely to be able to cry freely. Your partner can help you with this by seeing through your unpleasant behavior and asking: “Are you sad?” Women usually nod and feel their sadness surfacing. You only need to say: “Feel free to cry”, preferably with your arms around her. A woman who can cry without having to explain things can cry away the old emotions. She will feel much better afterwards and be grateful to you.

Dear Mireille,
Thank you for your method. I’ve learned about it and intuitively decided to try immediately. I’ve been practicing it for 2 weeks by now and can say I notice that it works. The first evidence was a sudden intermittent bleeding between periods that happened on the second day I started to apply the method. At first I was scared, because I had not read this article by that time and also the menstruations problems are not typical for me. After I found this article, I calmed down a little; furthermore I had a visit to my Gynecologist right at that time. The Gynecologist has not found any problem and all the tests arrived fine. Now I’m having my regular periods without any pain effects but the bleeding is more intense than usual. I really hope that my blood is getting cleaner. Another positive thing is that I’ve decreased consumption of chocolate and sweets significantly. During this two weeks period I have found some effective gymnastic techniques that is very good for the spine. Thank you very much once again and I continue practicing and observing.
