28. Shyness is like stickers on your mouth!
Shyness is something we are all familiar with. You want to say something, but you are afraid and keep quiet or walk away. The fear of being laughed at or rejected is too big. It can have a paralyzing effect on you and cause you to become isolated. It’s especially bothersome if you also blush. Then it becomes obvious to others that you feel embarrassed or uncomfortable.
Shyness and social isolation
People who are shy get in a vicious circle. That means that the stronger your shyness becomes, the more you isolate yourself and the circle of people around you becomes smaller and smaller. Sometimes people even develop a social phobia, agoraphobia, and are afraid to leave their house. Christine from Belgium, who did the MIR-Method, slowly felt herself becoming free from this phobia and had the courage to leave her house:
“The intense sorrow is gone and I can now be among people again (I had agoraphobia).” Isn’t that awesome! Such a victory for her! Way to go, Christine!
Singles lost their openness
Single people who would like to have a partner are afraid to speak to someone after the umpteenth rejection. The freedom to start a conversation has been lost, little by little. Each time you bumped your head, another bit of glue shuts your mouth further. The freedom to open your mouth was lost a little more by the glue holding your lips together.
Stickers on your mouth
Being on the receiving end of unpleasant commentary is like getting stickers on your mouth. Each time someone says something hurtful, another sticker is added: “Oh, blabbermouth wants to add something”. Or, “You can only open your mouth if you’ve got something valuable to say”. It can also be non-verbal: whenever adults came to visit, you were sent upstairs; you weren’t allowed to join the conversation. Maybe in the schoolyard, small but intense scenes were acted out that gave you the feeling that you acted dumbly and were punished. Exclusion is the harshest punishment of all. Children can be really tough towards one another.
You are your own worst problem
You are actually maintaining your shyness yourself. You keep remembering all those scenes and make them bigger than they actually were. All those memories come back as soon as you want to crawl out of your shell. Before you have even taken one step, you are holding yourself back with those inhibitory thoughts: “What if he doesn’t like me?” “What if she laughs at me?” “What if I start to stutter?” “What if I blush?” “They will think that I…” The truth is that people don’t think that much and are mostly worried about themselves! People give you chance after chance and react to you. If you take the first step with fear and feelings of inferiority, then that is what people will react to. If you self-confidentially take the first step then people with react to that.
With the MIR-Method you remove the stickers and your shyness
All those moments, all those hurts, nasty words and experiences that caused you to crawl into your shell, are peeled off, little by little. By doing the MIR-Method, you take one sticker after another from your mouth and you will once again feel free and uninhibited. You start to move again with your body, your heart and your mouth. The secret is in all of the steps!
Step 1: Optimize acidity causes many chemical processes in your body to function properly again, including muscle tone. The feeling that your muscles are becoming stronger supports your feeling of self-confidence. You stand up straighter and also feel stronger.
Step 2: Detox all toxicity. Getting rid of toxic waste products is not the only thing that happens with this step. It’s about “baggage” and if that includes “toxic thoughts”, then they will also be disposed of. That means that you will slowly have nicer, more positive thoughts that support you.
Step 3: Detach father. Detach mother. It should be clear that when you free yourself from your father and mother’s systems, you will feel freer and be more aware of your own strength.
Step 4: Clear meridians. Blushing is something that many people experience and which is caused by, among other things, a blocked liver meridian. With step 4, you let the meridian flow again. A blocked liver meridian causes a negative self-image and you get embarrassed quickly and blush easily. Your embarrassment can be something physical! and is therefore, curable!!
Step 5: Supplement all shortages. Nutrient shortages can make you feel weak internally, which will make you more likely to experience negative thoughts. Examples of this are lithium, which is often prescribed by psychiatrists. A shortage of serotonin or oxytocin can also worsen your shyness.
Step 6: Balance hormone system. Various organs and glands of the hormone system influence your feeling of self-confidence. The pancreas is one example. It can be found underneath your ribs and is about the size of a banana. If this gland becomes disturbed it will have an effect on your self-confidence.
Step 7: Fulfill basic needs. This is obvious: if you lack feelings of safety, certainty and self-confidence they will be fulfilled with step 7.
Step 8: Optimize Chakras and aura. Chakra 3 is especially important for your own strength, for manifesting it and showing it to other people. When you optimize this chakra, self-confidence will grow.
Step 9: Clarify mission. As it becomes clearer to you what your talents are and what you can contribute to the world, an enormous strength grows from within that will help you soar. In short, give yourself another chance each day and shake off your shyness!

Question-can parents stroke hands of young children much
Like how you describe mir for pets? My child is so incredibly
Shy
Thank you!
Dear Gretchen,
Yes, you can stroke their hands, and they looooove it when you stroke on their back! Ask your child where it wants to be touched. As long as it is skin on skin you’re doing it right!
And by the way, if you use it for your child, you need to do the MIR-Method too, after you have stroked your child.
Good luck!

Dear Mireille,
First of all thanks for the terrific gift of service you are making available to a world that sadly needs it. MIR really rocks!!!
I did the 30 days practice and have emerged much more patient and tolerant, and amused by things that used to make me angry.
I really appreciate your persistent and welcome follow up (not like the bait and switch American approach that is always trying to sell something). I have a strong sense of Qi Gong being incorporated into the MIR method, which causes it to have a very beneficial effect on energy levels and replaces emotional reaction with a greater level of detachment. Above all that it’s so easy and quick to do and doesn’t involve diving into the details of what caused personal baggage to accumulate.
I particularly like your newsletters and the convincing way in which they analyse the beneficial effects of each step in the MIR process for specific problems and I look forward to receiving more of them.
As a former blusher who now gives presentations to large groups, I know your latest newsletter will be of great benefit to many people.
If you ever include Peru on your itinerary, I would be delighted to meet you and arrange for you to give presentations here to teachers, businessmen and spiritual seekers in general.
May you keep spreading your light everywhere you turn your attention.
Warm regards,
Michael
Dear Michael,
Wow, so wonderful to hear from you all the way from Peru! And thanks for all the acknowledgements about the method. At the moment there is no traveling whatsoever, but I am working on transmitting some webinars in English. I will certainly contact you if my mission leads to Peru. Thanks for being so kind!
How wonderful that you are speaking and inspiring people! Great how you overcame the blushing.
I wrote up to 66 articles now in Dutch and we are all translating them into English and posting them every week, so you have quite some articles still to come!
May your work inspires many people!
Greetings,

BONSOIR CHERE MIREILLE
Bon courage!
